Assistant Professor of Biochemistry
Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Biology, beginning in August of 2019.
Teaching responsibilities include Biochemistry, introductory biology, and upper-level courses in cellular and molecular biology and/or physiology. Broadly-trained applicants who can teach at both the introductory level and upper level will be highly competitive. The teaching load is 12 contact hours per semester, with a typical load being two lectures and two labs. The successful candidate will work with dynamic and engaged colleagues and share their commitment to deliver high-quality courses. Tenure-track faculty are also expected to engage undergraduates in research and participate in service to the department and the College. All tenure track faculty contribute to academic advising.
The successful candidate must have experience teaching undergraduates and have earned a Ph.D. in Biology or a related field at time of appointment (ABD also considered).
